Gather it:
8 chicken thighs
1 packet of Ranch dressing mix
7 oz jar of pesto
1 cup of chicken broth (original recipe calls 1/2 cup, but we like a little sauce over our rice)
pepper, to taste
Make it:
1. Mix ranch, pesto, and broth together in crockpot.
2. Add chicken. Flip it to cover both sides or spoon pesto mixture over chicken.
3. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
As with most crockpot meals that I do, it's easy and yummy! You must try it!
Here's the original recipe.
I made this last night. The chicken ended being a tad dry for us. :/
ReplyDeleteAwesome, my wifes new favorite! Cook on high 2-3 hours is sufficient.
ReplyDeleteIs the chicken frozen or thawed
ReplyDeleteI've made this using both thawed and frozen chicken. Just make sure you cook it a while if using frozen and the sauce will be a little runnier. I thought it tasted fine though. FYI it wil taste better if you use chicken with bones and skin bc it will stay moist. Chicken breast may dry out per my friend's experience.
